Ideal working conditions, various accommodation options, good food and a varied social program in the unique atmosphere of our traditional Benedictine monastery – a perfect combination.

“As a seminar hotel, the Propstei Wislikofen offers a convincing ambience for business retreats.
The quiet and cordial atmosphere in a natural setting encourages exchange and personal reflection. The food is delicious and the rooms are simple but stylishly designed.
Overall, Propstei Wislikofen is a recommended choice for companies looking for a reasonably priced seminar venue and an inspiring environment for participants.”
Working in our seminar rooms
Our Propstei offers wonderful facilities for your retreats, workshops and information events. Switzerland Tourism describes us as a “seminar hotel with inspiration”. And rightly so: the magnificent monastery architecture creates space for lively discussions and concentrated work at the same time. The Propstei is a place of power that releases undreamt-of energy.
We are happy to help
Do you need an additional table island, a third flip chart, a packed lunch or last-minute copies? Our reception team and our janitor will be happy to assist you during your stay at the Propstei Wislikofen. For us, this is part of our hospitality – in the Benedictine tradition!
Our seminar guests appreciate the modern infrastructure in the two large main rooms and the possibility of organizing group tasks in the seven other monastery rooms. Of course, it is also possible to hold them outside in the garden or in the courtyard.

Spend the night in our hotel rooms
Our rooms are both contemporary and simply furnished. This preserves the monastic flair. There are 45 rooms (17 double and 28 single rooms) with a total of 65 beds available. Three rooms are wheelchair accessible. As we value both the monastic charm and sustainability, we deliberately do without a TV and minibar. Some of our guests sleep in the former monks’ cells (dormitory), which exude a special sense of comfort and tranquillity thanks to the rustic half-timbered walls with a high proportion of wood.
“The rooms are spotlessly clean. They are simple and make you feel at home.”
– T. Rohner, course participant
With this soothing simplicity, you can concentrate fully on your seminar. All rooms are equipped with a shower, private WC and washbasin, as well as a desk. There is also a hairdryer in the mirror cabinet and the WLAN connection works reliably. The double room is available for single use at no extra charge.
Anyone staying at the Propstei Wislikofen is looked after competently and friendly by our team at reception during the day. In addition, our guests can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet every morning that leaves nothing to be desired. From fresh bread, croissants and muesli to cheese, meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables, everything is included. There is also a coffee machine, a large selection of high-quality organic Raselli teas from Switzerland and a juicer so that everyone can make their own fresh fruit and vegetable juices.

Enjoy in our restaurant
Our catering team will take care of your physical well-being during your stay. We serve our seminar guests healthy, balanced menus at lunchtime and in the evening. You can choose between a main course with meat, a raw vegetable salad plate with assorted salads and a filling component or a vegetarian main course. For starters, there is a choice of fresh fruit or vegetable juice, a hearty soup or a seasonal salad.
You can look forward to regional cuisine with herbs, spices and essences from our own herb garden. Don’t miss the dessert – a little sweet temptation is a must!
Good, sustainable food and wines from the region are very important to us in order to honor people, the environment and nature. The majority of our suppliers come from the region. In this way, we support local businesses and keep transportation routes short. Sustainability and health have a high priority at Propstei Wislikofen. Our kitchen team caters to individual food and dietary requirements. With a rich breakfast buffet and a fruity vitamin booster, which you can prepare yourself with our juicer, you are guaranteed a good start to the day. We also serve lunch and dinner in the idyllic courtyard during the summer months.

Insider tip: Our vaulted cellar
Let the intensive seminar day come to a cozy end in our atmospheric vaulted cellar. You will find beers from the regional Kündig brewery in Rietheim and exquisite Swiss wines are available at the right temperature. We are happy to organize something to satisfy late-night hunger pangs, such as the popular Klosterplättli with sliced dried meat and cheese. You can also find salty and sweet snacks in our mini-kiosk in the foyer.
