Zen introduction course
Description
Those who practise Zen regularly sit in a still and motionless manner. This calms the mind. Thoughts become fewer and quieter. You are able to immerse yourself in your inner self and have personal, spiritual experiences along the way.
The aim of a good Zen introduction is to get to know this motionless sitting and the various Zen rituals. The spirit of Zen is thematized and discussed in lectures.
Elements of the introduction: outer and inner posture during meditation, walking meditation, recitation of spiritual texts and the small and large prostrations. Lectures on the essentials of this form of meditation and the origins of Zen. Opportunity for individual discussion.
After the course you will be well prepared to participate in further Zen courses at the Propstei.
Attending the introduction entitles you to participate in all courses of the Glassman-Lassalle line.
