Our educational program

We organize a variety of courses and training events on a wide range of topics, from mindfulness and contemplation, lectoring, communion and bibliodrama to communication for couples and self-management. Our training courses are eduQua-certified and are open to all interested parties.

Learn and further your education with our educational program

The Propstei Wislikofen maintains its own educational program. We organize courses for individuals, couples, families and groups. The thematic range of our educational program is very broad. Those interested will find courses in communication and self-management. If you want to slow down and pause for a moment, then the seminars on mindfulness, spirituality and contemplation are for you. If you would like to experience your faith intensively, then visit our bibliodrama offers.

Are you looking for a lector or communion minister course? Would you like to deepen your skills in visiting ministry? Then you will find a lot of helpful information in our annual program. For pastoral workers, we offer training in bibliodrama and pastoral care. And last but not least: We accompany you at your retreats. We moderate your event, help you to assess your current situation and plan your future.

Do you want to slow down and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Are you looking for a fountain to recharge your batteries? Do you want to treat your body and soul to some time out? We offer courses in body awareness with Jin Shin Jyutsu, Qi Gong, dance, heart meditation and fasting.

Our course instructors are highly trained and, in addition to their specialist knowledge, have great process and technical expertise.

Would you like to experience the healing power of silence? Connect with your breath and find contact with your own center? Contemplation is a kind of meditation. At the Propstei, we stand for the contemplation path via integralis.

Contemplation via integralis is a school for meditation. It was founded in 2003 by Niklaus Brantschen (SJ) and Pia Gyger (ktw), both Zen masters.

In the contemplation of the via integralis, the posture of Zen is combined with the qualities of mysticism. The style of Zen provides a clear external framework: upright posture, breath centering, renunciation of words, thoughts and images. This helps you to collect yourself.

The ancient experiences of Christian mystics and other religious traditions help us to interpret and better understand our own experiences. This opens up and deepens a new horizon in your own life.

Enjoy in our restaurant

The most important conversations take place during breaks and meals. That’s why our courses also include shared meals. We serve fresh, regional cuisine with herbs, spices and essences from our herb garden. We source our products from the region whenever possible. In this way, we support local businesses and keep transportation routes short – for the sake of people, the environment and nature.

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner are served in the idyllic courtyard during the summer months, weather permitting. Our kitchen team caters to individual food and dietary requirements.

Spend the night in former monastery cells

Our rooms are furnished in a simple and contemporary style. The monastic origins have thus been preserved. There are 45 rooms (17 double and 28 single rooms) with a total of 65 beds available for overnight accommodation. Three rooms are wheelchair accessible. As we maintain the monastic character and also attach great importance to ecological sustainability, we deliberately do without a TV and minibar.

“We felt very comfortable in the Propstei. The simplicity and the quietness in the rooms is soothing!”

– Agridea” seminar group

Some of them sleep in the former monks’ cells (dormitory), which exude a special sense of comfort and tranquillity. All rooms are equipped with a shower and a private WC / washbasin. There is also a hairdryer in the mirror cabinet and the Wi-Fi connection works reliably.

Anyone staying at the Propstei Wislikofen is looked after competently and friendly by our team at reception during the day. In addition, our guests can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet every morning that leaves nothing to be desired. From fresh bread, croissants and muesli to cheese, meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables, everything is included. There is also a coffee machine, a large selection of high-quality organic Raselli teas from Switzerland and a juicer so that everyone can make their own fresh fruit and vegetable juices.

Additional information

The housekeeping team at the Propstei Wislikofen takes care of cleaning our hotel rooms every day. In the spirit of sustainability, we wash the bed linen, tablecloths and napkins directly at the Propstei and are not dependent on an external service provider with the corresponding transportation routes.
