The curtain is torn
Description
The Holy Days before Easter (from «kara» lamentation, grief, mourning) are special days.
Good Friday confronts us with the violence and death of Jesus of Nazareth and so many other victims of torture, then and now. It reminds us of all that is separated and torn apart, of all that hurts – personally and globally.
Holy Saturday is a day to pause, to be still, to wait and endure. It can also open a door to the secret of «dying and becoming», to stitching together what has been torn apart, to hope for a life of rebellion and to all-encompassing connectedness.
We spend Good Friday and Holy Saturday in silence with impulses, poems, rituals and a simple liturgy.
