Zen meditation days
Description
Those who practise Zen regularly sit in a quiet and motionless manner. This allows the mind to calm down and thoughts become fewer and quieter. In this posture, you can then immerse yourself in your inner self and have personal, spiritual experiences along the way.
For these meditation days, we meet on Friday evening and meditate as a group until Sunday lunchtime. The individual meditation times are no longer than 1 ½ hours, each meditation session is followed by a walking meditation for 5 to 7 minutes. Aspects of Zen are discussed in lectures.
There is the opportunity for individual discussions with the teacher. Questions about practice and personal experiences can be discussed here.
Elements of the meditation days: sitting meditation, walking meditation, recitations, Zen talks and individual discussions. The course takes place in silence .
